rough terrain lift

had to lift some 8ft x 6ft fence sections back in place by myself for nailing. probably 150-200lbs on a grass/sand terrain.

My engine lift can manage the lifting, but to get it there and have it mobile it needed some larger tires. The ones shown werent ideal, but the guy in line before me literally bought all of the larger ones harbor freight had up front and out back (probably 6). Didnt roll great under the weight, but was good enough for repair of 3 fence sections.

Did the quickest connection to frame possible. Just some blocks of wood and all thread. Worked fine. I did have to remove the original rear casters due to limited space which was annoying but easy. The fronts I left on, again not ideal but practical.

I also had a long piece of steel tubing I keep on hand as a boom extension. Since the fence is close to the ground, it has to hover out in front of the legs. I almost always need a boom extension so just bought that steel for the task when I got the lift.

To lift the fencing section, I screwed in some D hooks and used a ratchet strap. The strap got wrapped around the boom once to prevent it from slipping since I havent made a real attachment point yet.

Worked perfect, made the job a breeze. Since the casters arent the size I really needed I am going to have to return them.

One more todo. The HF 1 ton lifts do not have a push handle on the back like the my 2ton does. That is majorly annoying. Going to weld on some pipe sooner rather than later.
