Lift table

A couple years ago I bought a 500lb capacity lift table for $200.

I wasnt entirely sure how much I would use it, but there are some heavy things which are a real pain to try to hook a chain onto to lift with the engine lift.

Over the years, I have used it a handful of times for loading and unloading the truck. Its handy, but I wasnt using it as much as I thought. (Even then, for 200 bucks its still worth it as it last a life time and would have good resale value anyway)

This year a new use has dawned on me, and I have been using it a lot now. It is a perfect variable height work bench. Grinding, cutting, welding perfect.

Positioning a snowblower while I rebuild the carb..perfect. Hang something from some saw horses and need something supported in the vertical plane..perfect.

All super handy uses for it.

One other thing I will add here in a similar vein..Another super handy, unexpected, portable work bench can be made by just setting a piece of plywood over the top of a 2 wheeled wheelbarrow. Easy, portable, and multiuse. (single wheeled can not be used as they tip over to easy)

A wheelbarrow also makes a nice portable mini paint booth. Roll it out into the middle of the yard, spray away and most of the extra paint just ends up in the wheelbarrow which is great because they can always use an extra coat of paint inside anyway.
