Home book binding

not really book binding but almost. Invariabled i end up having to print off hefty tomes to read for work. The best solutions i have to date for binding this many pages together (40-80 page papers usually) is

clamp all the pages between two boards in the vise and hot glue the backbone (surprisingly good binding)
use a hand staple gun, then tap the staple the rest of the way through with a hammer and bend the protruding ends over slightly offset so they dont overlap with a final cinching blow to tighten
use an air stapler if the hand stapler is no match.
